Birthday Times!

Hello!

I must apologise for my absence firstly, being home with my family has certainly distracted me.

Along with spending time with my family, shopping a whole lot and trying to keep warm in this ridiculous change of climate, it was also my birthday.

To celebrate we went out for breakfast to a cafe called Two Bags Full which was lovely, followed by an afternoon of shopping; naturally. Then that evening we went to dinner to George Calombaris’ restaurant Gazi, that has a Greek street food inspired menu.

For those of you who don’t know, George Calombaris is one of the hosts of Australian MasterChef, a show that I have been getting super into. The food was amazing and the cocktails even better! I had one that tasted exactly like musk sticks.

For the fabulous birthday evening I wore:

Coat – Alexander McQueen

Playsuit – Topshop

Tights – Wolford

I was extremely spoilt this year by my family, I got clothes, my favourite perfume Chance by Chanel, so many socks!

DSC_0757

A Chanel eyeliner, Lancome mascara and a Kryolan lipstain that I am beyond excited about!

And finally new fancy markers for my uni work!

All in all it was a very happy day and I have been having a lovely time at home.

Stiletto Nail Art

Hello!

This is just a quick post to show off my nail art this week. I broke almost all my nails at work last week, and to combat the depression I gave myself some intense stiletto nails for my trip home.

I am so into these! Probably my favourite manicure I’ve done this year.

Like I said just a quick post!

My Sale Adventure Continues

Hey!

A few weeks ago Urban Outfitters had 25% off beauty online, so I decided to buy a few pieces from Lime Crime. Unfortunately one of the items was on backorder so hasn’t arrived yet, but two out of three isn’t so bad!

DSC_0766

Lime Crime is a vegan and cruelty free makeup  brand that offers an awesome range of colours! I already have a blue and lilac lipstick. Above is a photo of their eyeliner Blue Milk and their lipstick Great Pink Planet. When the rest arrives I will do some swatches 🙂

Yesterday I foolishly checked out the Topshop sale again, and as always couldn’t resist. I picked up a really sweet skater dress for $13 and a fabulous kimono.

DSC_0805

I grabbed this beauty for half price. While shopping the sale I ran into an old friend from Perth who told me about the Alice McCall sample sale, which we checked out this morning followed by breakfast at Bill’s.

The sale is on the 19th and 20th only, in Surry Hills. Price started at $5 and there was a huge range of one-off pieces. However it’s not really my style so I only picked up one dress and a pair of earrings.

DSC_0759

This was a sample dress, and is so fabulous! I am so in love with the colour.

DSC_0757

I picked up these earrings as well for 5 bucks which was a pretty sweet deal for such cute earrings.

Tonight I’m having dinner with my parents who are visiting, and I’m so excited! So I’m off now to go and meet up with them 🙂

Hope you’re having a lovely week as well!

End of Season Haul

Hello!

The sales hit this week in Australia, and as always I have no willpower when it comes to beautiful things; especially when I can afford them. So I thought I would share with you the fabulous things I picked up in the sale 🙂

DSC_0754

I’ve been eyeing this McQ by Alexander McQueen bracelet for months now on Net-A-Porter. I stumbled across it when passing through Myer to avoid the rain and it was 25% off. I didn’t even realised Myer stocked McQ, and at $66 I was very happy to find out.

DSC_0783 copy

My favourite purchase from this week is this fabulous hat by Ted Baker, I am just so in love. I grabbed it at David Jones for $35.95 from $120, an awesome purchase if I say so myself.

DSC_0766

Finally I picked up these boots from Topshop for $49 down from $70. After my trip to Topshop I decided perhaps I should stop my little shopping spree :p

I hope you find some awesome deals in the sales!

Chanel Summer 2014 Beauty Collection Review

Hello!

Last week on my way to work I passed by Chanel and was completely blown away! 5 new polishes! DSC_0792

Upon closer inspection only four of them are new, the white polish, Eastern Light, was released about a year ago as part of the Hong Kong collection. It was limited edition then and still is now, along with the other four polishes. I had to wait for a week to use them because I got hit with the flu, waiting almost killed me when they were sitting on my desk looking so pretty.

The collection is called Collection Reflets D’ete De Chanel. The full collection includes five shades of lipgloss to mix and match with your nail polish, three creme shadows and two coloured mascaras. However I, as always, was only interested in the polish.

DSC_0753

Pink Tonic – This is two coats of Pink Tonic, it’s a great hot pink! Perfect as part of summer collection, even though it isn’t actually summer where I am.

DSC_0769

Eastern Light – This is three coats of Eastern Light, it took two coats for it to be opaque enough, I added a third because mine was looking a bit patchy and streaky. However my polish is a year old, and if it wasn’t these problems probably wouldn’t have occurred.

DSC_0767

Mirabella – Above is two coats of the most amazing orange, Mirabella. I have this on while I type up this post, I’m so in love! The only other orange polish I have is Chanel’s Holiday. But this one takes the cake, it’s a much brighter orange, almost fluorescent without looking tacky.

DSC_0772

Sweet Lilac – This is two coats, although upon reflection I would add a third because it’s such a light purple it could do with another coat so it’s more opaque. It reminds me of Chanel’s Lilac Sky, however it has no shimmer running through it, which I think is a nice change. This lilac will be far better suited for nail art.

DSC_0777Tutti Frutti – Finally here is two coats of Tutti Frutti, I think the best way to describe it is as a mix of Pink Tonic and Mirabella. The only thing you can’t see in this image is the shimmer running through the polish, but it looks very pretty in person. It’s the only colour in the collection that has a shimmer in it.

At the moment, as far as I’m aware the only place in Sydney that has them is in Bondi, however after June 2nd they should be available at all Chanel Studios, because these are limited edition I don’t know whether they will be available at all Chanel Counters.

Over all I think this is such a fun collection!  What are your thoughts?

Obsessed with Pastel Pumps

Hello!

I don’t know what it is lately, but all I can think about is getting myself a pair of pastel shoes! Could it be the divine pictures of Miu Miu’s Mary Jane’s hanging on my wall, or the pastel platform sandals in the window of Jimmy Choo that I walk past on my way to work. Perhaps it’s just the ten new pairs of socks that have been waiting patiently to be shown off in a fabulous pair of shoes. Whatever it is, I can’t get them out of my head.

So below I have created a list of the shoes keeping me up at night.

shoes

From left to right we have, Gianvito Rossi pumps, Miu Miu Mary Janes, Jimmy Choo pumps, Jimmy Choo strapy heels, ASOS heels, ASOS sandals, Topshop pumps and Topshop platforms.

They are all just so pretty to look at, however they’d look far better on my feet! 🙂

What do you think of my pastel round up?

Mint Green Manicure

Hello!

While giving myself a manicure, I decided to mix it up a little. It’s been a while since I’ve done anything other than a traditional manicure.

DSC_0746

I went for a half french pink, half mint manicure with a rhinestone detail. I’m so happy with how it turned out, it’s so sweet!

DSC_0740

Here is a photo of the colours I used. Chanel Ballerina and Sally Hansen Mint Sorbet. I also used Seche Vite top coat, which I can’t believe I didn’t buy sooner. It’s so good!

Hope you’re having a great day 🙂

Melbourne Fashion

Hello!

I’ve been in Melbourne for four days now, and it’s been so lovely. It’s a tad colder than Sydney but the sky has been clear and blue!

Day 1

I spent the morning catching up with the family and then went out to the Chadstone shopping centre, which is huge! This was followed by a haircut, cocktails and an home cooked dinner with my parents.

Day 2

I spent the day with my mum, we headed into the city to check out the new Emporium, a massive shopping centre in the heart of the city. It’s going to be amazing! I say going to, because half of the stores aren’t actually open yet. However Kryolan was which was so exciting! I have never been into one of their makeup stores, and it is so beautiful. My mum and I had a rather liquid lunch so decided tackling the new H&M store might have to wait.

I’m wearing

Topshop! Except for the bag 😉
